Alexa rank, How reliable is this?

It is my understanding that your alexa ranking is based from how many people view your site with the alexa toolbar downloaded and installed. If this is the case, isnt this sytem inacurate to a certain degree.

Should we trust this?

What percentage of web browsers have the alexa tool bar downloaded?

I Think they improved the ranking system, and it makes a more reliable alexa.

Alexa stats are completely unreliable unless you're trying to find out how many people are using their tool bar. On browsers with the alexa toolbar, i didnt know any...at the moment!
