i own a website. i want my website to be at the top of the google SEO. i was told that in order to get my site at the top, i need to post articles to different sites.my question is..can i post articles not related to my website in order to increase my google SEO rankings?

The only question is why?

People interested in your article will find it on an article directory. If your bio URL directs them to your website which noting to do with the article, the visitor will have no interest in your subject matter.

What's more is some article directores have high PR which may help your website, but many do not.

My suggestion is to do the traditiona article traffic strategy and post articles to drive traffic from interested searchers to your website.

its better if the articles that linked to your site is about your site.
it must be relevant to your site's content.
besides, what could be your reason of putting an article not related to your site right?
