Doubleclick has ruined my life.

Well that was probably an exaggeration but it has certainly spoiled my ability to surf the net. I have now canceled my Google Adsense account. Can any of you help me remove this insidious doubleclick from my computer? Can I use a use a ad/banner/content blocker program to filter the ad domains?
