Elance.com is a site for the freelancers to find online jobs and to make some cash from the convenience of their own homes. Provider post jobs and specifies their maximum budget for the whole work. Then, the interested freelancers can submit their proposals and bid their own prices for doing the work.
The kinds of works available in the site are ranged from graphics to copy writing, translating and proofreading or serious programming. Actually, anything that can be done on a computer, are listed as work for the freelancers.
The process of signing up in elance.com is easy. The site is modern, elegant and friendly to use. There are several types of members e.g. free members or paid members etc. After signing up as a free member, the member gets three connects to bid.
Each time a bid is placed on a project, a certain number of connects are used. Low budgeted projects usually cost one connect, while higher budget projects can cost you. An option of placing the bid on top of the others is also available there. Elance.com takes an enormous commission of 8.75% from their members as the project fees. Sending the money to the bank account costs $10. Withdrawal of money is only once per month, further transactions will cost an additional $25 each.
