Fast spider, is it alive ?

Hello Friends,

I heard that fast spider comes once in a month and catches more than 700 pages for the search engine result pages. Is this true? Some of my friends are saying that the fast spider isn’t alive and there is no such thing happening now. Want to know the details of this.
