Google Directory

If you click on 'more > even more' from the Google home page, you get a list of their products. Until about a week or so ago you, I'm quite sure you used to get a 'Directory' option that took you through to the Google Directory. The link has gone although the Directory still exists.

Does anyone know if this is just me losing the plot, whether Google is dropping the directory, or something else ?

No, its not so, Google Directory is enhancing day by day, I think you are wrongly accessing it, try finding the exact categories.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Google directory is not that much bad and the more thing that I want to say you that we also get that much backlinks.

To get your site listed in the Google Directory, you need to get your site listed in the Open Directory. The Google Directory is created from the data included in the Open Directory. Click here to learn how to get your site listed in the Open Directory.
