Google Mail - how do I get rid of Google Mail always coming

I have Yahoo Home Page but often use Google search engine. I never used to get Google Mail coming up when I wanted to contact an e-mail address in a search result but now it is really annoying as it comes up every time and I do not want it. Help please to rid myself of Google Mail.
