I have a lot of time on my hands and would like to do something productive. How do I go about volunteering with my local search and rescue?

Check with the Rescue squads in your community, I am sure they would have an interesting job for you.

Hi: well according to our "Local Sheriff's Department they
has an Search & Rescue Team where each 1 Community
being Builded also Supported by those Sponsored Foundation yes you must have some basic Training in
C.P.R also Volunteer in knowing First Aid too

You could also contact your local Red Cross office. I'm sure they'd have information on where to go to sign up as a volunteer.

a few weeks ago where i live they had ads on the radio and television for local search and rescue voulnteers it takes a lot of training and dedication i would call your local sheriff's office or state police (non-emergency # of course) i think they do all the training of volunteers at once so you might have to wait untill the next traning course or you might be lucky and one will just start good luck neonatal units and childrens hospitals ,foster homes always need people to help play and care for them there is nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on a childs face
