How can I download from the web without using the Megaupload

Hi, I've been trying to download from the web, but each time, all the slots from my country are blocked, so I am prompted to download the toolbar, but it just doesn't suit my computer. Isn't there any way I can avoid using it?

Try downloading from torrents or something where you can download for free as well as directly too without megaupload.
