There are lots of keyword software programs on the net that can help. But if you're looking for a free service use the 'google keyword tool'. Google it just like that. Type in different keywords related to your site. Find long tailed keywords (four or more words) for less competition. Write articles, blogs or participate in forums using those keywords. This will help drive traffic to your site.

If you need more help re: driving traffic you should check the following site:

Cool Cat:

As others have mentioned here, the best FREE tool to use to do keyword research is Google Adwords Keyword Tool. It's at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.

Now that you know what to use, it's important to know HOW to use it. I wrote an in-depth tutorial on this very subject on SeoWriting Jobs. Following is an excerpt.

HOW TO USE GOOGLE'S ADWORD KEYWORD TOOL EXCERPT

Google’s AdWord Keyword Tool: What It is & How to Use It

This tool helps you to discover keywords and keyword phrases web surfers are likely to type in when they’re searching for your type of product or service.

It is extremely helpful because not only does it give you relevant variations, including alternate spellings (e.g. light, lite), plurals, and synonyms, it also gives you other helpful info like number of searches conducted in the previous month, or previous 12-month period for a given phrase.

I'm in agreement with what some of the other post recommend for your keyword question. In helping you with driving traffic and SEO there are a few challenges you must consider before getting frustrated. There has been an great increase in competition, information, and reviews for whatever products or services you are trying to market.
Another challenge is that there is a decrease in the attention spans of your prospects. You now have 2-3 seconds to grasp and hold their attention before they click off your site.
Driving traffic can be done through SEO and a good Pay Per Click Campaign but what good are visitors if you don't convert them into paying customers? I've been learning from Mike Dillard and I think this link might benefit you as well. To your success in business.

If you use the right keywords, but your articles are not what people are looking for, you've lost them. This is what I have learned. You are actually misguiding people. Most people are searching for genuine information, be it news, or 'how to' articles or even entertainment. It takes some research to know what kind of info people are looking for. I use SEO experts for his job. Their website is: http://www.freelancewritingdesk.com.
