Different sites have their own system of determining ranking. Alexa is one of the top site that calculates the ranking of site. Alexa will show detailed data of the site that are listed among top: 100000. So, first of all we need to be targeted to be in top 100000. Many of us must be thinking what after getting top ranked and what is its importance ?
The answer is you can be assured that you are getting good amount of traffic daily. Because Alexa is mainly based on amount of traffic that the site gets.

In addition. you can place ads and earn good money if your site is listed in top 100000. however, personally i never like Alexa rank because it only focuses on the amount of daily traffic. If you find any importance of its ranking then please post here.
