Just Cant Move Up On Yahoo

Over the past few weeks I have worked extensively on my web site and has improved quite well, I have already noticed quite a surge in traffic from Google. The problem is yahoo, I just cant seem to get moving, does yahoo normally take a little longer to crawl the site, or am I doing something wrong. I am afraid changes now will affect my google rank. Please suggest your views…
