I want to know about page rank.
I feel this is the most confusing topic.
Can anyone explain how this page ranking being done?

Page rank is basically an algorithm generated by google.It is a numerical representation of any domain.The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references.Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it.

How many visits at any particular website, Is it verify by Google? or only content or public votes are plays important role in page rank?

As we know page rank is a vote by other pages so it depends on the quantity and quality of vote of page rank.
