Links to Local Listing?

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not getting backlinks with relevant, keyword-rich anchor text to your local listings has any affect on your ranking in the local search ten pack or one pack on google? Do any of the backlink best practices from the organic rankings carry over to local rankings?
