MSN Home page question with the Bing search engine?

Every time I go to MSN's homepage and start typing something, my cursor waits until I'm halfway through typing then it automatically goes down into the Bing search engine. If I wanted to use Bing in the first place, I'd friggin use it!! I don't want to use it, so is there a setting on my computer or something? This is getting really annoying. For example if Im going to Yahoo.com I would type yaho and then look in the bing url box and I'd see o.com! It always screws me up! Any ideas?
