What is the main purpose of the Alexa toolbar? I don't mean to sound noobish but I've been told by alot of people that I should download the toolbar. Is it like the Google toolbar?

Im reading Alexa's "traffic rank" --- what is that???
For example,
A real estate brokerage website has a rank of: 3,471,370
Boston.com has a traffic rank of: 1,487
Does anyone know how to read this?

I have heard from more than a few sources, that Alexa was a) not as reliable with it's data and that b) the importance of it, is not what it used to be. What does Alexa bring to the table and how should one leveredge Alexa to best promote their site?

How to compare alexa ranking with google.Which one is best for traffic. I Believe there is No comparison between Alexa Ranking and Google Rankings. The only comparison i can make between the two is:

Alexa Rankings - Worthless
Google Rankings - Priceless.....:)

If I put my link on PR 7 site does Alexa play role in transfering juice to my site? I think no, alexa only cares traffic rankings. Am I right? I guess I am not completely right. But wanted to know from you experts if I am thinking iin the right direction.
