I just wanted to let everyone know that Google just recently updated pr. How did everyone do with the change bad or good?

I've been told by hundreds of people that adding your site to a directory can be bad for your pr. I honestly don't know whether I should be believe it or not. I add almost all my sites to directories and my pr is usually fine so I was wondering what everyone elses experience(s) were.

Based off experience I thought I would mention this to the newer people. I've been very successful when it comes to pr on Google. Within two months I managed to get an arcade from a pr0 to a pr3 and a content site from a pr0 to a pr2. i have 2 blogs. (forex related & computers related) i got page rank 1 to my Computer realated blog, i tried hard to get page rank 2 for my computer related blog but i din't get then i thought google will not give page rank 2 for blogspots :? is it true? anybody got page rank 2 for blogspots?
