I posted this thread on the Seoforums.org forum and got no response. I decided to post it here:

I'm currently performing keyword research for the website Placecards.com. As the name suggests, they print Place Cards and Table Cards.
I'm facing some slight challenges with competition. All of the transactional search queries I've encountered have extremely high competition rates. Using Google Adwords and Google Insights, I've been unable to find low-competition and/or long-tail keywords.

My site shows up in the search results. The day i saw that I was over joyous.. but now i have a problem.

Problem is that it shows up fro wrong keywords. I am perplexed and want to take your suggestions on how to fix this.

I want to know whether i need to choose the singular form or the plural form of my keywords in the website.
Do Singular words have more probability of getting traced when compaed to the plural words.?

I was not getting much traffic when i used plurals and when i changed to singular i observe a slight change.

I submitted my site manually 1 week ago and it's not showing up in any of the search engines. Have I been penalized/banned?

I want to put keywords in header tags such as H1 and H2 because my friend believes that this would give me High Rankings in the search engines.

Will I be uneder trouble if I use style sheets to keep the font low to a convincing size?
