My question is do search engines still use metatags? SEO's are in disagreement on which meta tags are used by which engines and how much weight the engines place on meta tags.


Is there any harm in using some meta tags for my website needs?

My friend said that I should add a "robots follow" tag on all the pages of our site in order for it to be spidered deeply by the search engines.

He also said that I should put the "revisit after" tag on as well, to let the bots know how often they should stop by.

What do you think?

Anyone know what a Canonical URL is? most webmaster forums and blogs discussing about this Canonical URL, but i could'nt understand this :roll:
