Oscommerce?

Can anyone please tell me what is Is OSCommerce and how to install it? Also, please provide detailed information.

I know you probably already decided on OSCommerce but I suggest using Zen-Cart (http://www.zencart.com) it is MUCH easier and the support forum is Awesome. I already built 3 sites using it. It's great, very flexible, and the adnimistrative section is perfect for managing orders, products, etc.
