Paid inclusion for Yahoo ORGANIC results?

Postby irahat » Sat Sep 05, 2009 10:18 am

I found something odd today, and maybe its not what I think, but I clicked on an Organic Result in Yahoo (listed in the middle of the pack of page 1) and the url that popped up in my browser was this:

http://www.landscapelighting-store.com/ ... _store+2Bl andscape_lighting#

See the paid inclusion and the weird coding? I clicked on several other organic results and they all had their normal urls pop up, but this co with an unranked PR0 was in organic results page 1 and had this weird code that brought you to their home page.

What do you make of the "paid inclusion" text that shows up in the browser when you click on their organic listing?

Maybe nothing, maybe something weird...

Yeah it has been around for a while. Very high budgets. I used to do it when it was offered to advertisers for a much much lower price. Even then the ROI wasn't as great as you might think...

I learn something new everyday!

I knew about the express part of getting listed with submit express and pro but wasn't aware of the PPC aspect of it, or of the organic listing ppc. Thanks and have a great weekend.
