Plural or singular??

Hi,

I want to know whether i need to choose the singular form or the plural form of my keywords in the website.
Do Singular words have more probability of getting traced when compaed to the plural words.?

I was not getting much traffic when i used plurals and when i changed to singular i observe a slight change.

please post your views.
