Has anyone here ran any sort of marketing on Twitter for eccomerce purposes (or any other for that matter)?
I was thinking about advertising offer codes, new products. Just wondering what peoples thoughts on this are.

I have been using Twitter for promoting my products and my site and I can say that using this is very effective as long as you have a lot of followers.

You can use twitter as social bookmarking site for getting backlinks to your site. And when you follow people. people will follow you and your site will get publicity automatically. I've tried this. Go for it.

If you are in affiliate marketing or you are interested in viral marketing then Twitter is awesome to do this kind of thing.
