Redundant google search boxes

So now that I've installed the google toolbar into firefox, I, of course, have two separate search boxes; one on the new toolbar and the one on the firefox navigation bar. Can I disable one of these? I still want to use all of the features the toolbar has to offer. Does anybody have any insight into how I would do this? Thanks in advance.
