Shorten the title - "Stop Text"

I was asked to shorten my ttile to 60 charectars.
I was thinking whether google would not read after 60 charectars..

Found the answer now..We can make the Title as long as you want... Google will read everything... but will not assign any weight past the first few words.

Therefore you are simply wasting effort by going past the "stop text".
