Traffic analysis

Hi, Can someone explain me on how to analyze the traffic separately for yahoo, Altavista, Alleweb, Msn, Google. I need this for my new website that I will be putting online from next month. Before that I want o make an analysis of the traffic on my old sites. I will invest accordingly. Please suggest me.
