Using RSS On Forums

I've seen alot of forums use RSS Feeds to make post on forums so my question is are they good or bad for the forum? Some forums I've seen are only filled with RSS posts and ten or so natural posts. So do they do more harm then good?

Can be a good or a bad, thing personally I don't use them a whole lot but yes, some forums are covered head to toe with rss feeds. The main problem with those are that the content is all repeats. So as far as getting fresh content on your site for the search engines I highly wouldn't recomend it but as far as building up the sites post count and so on sure why not.
