Why are searches in the Yahoo search engine directed to alternative searches?

Over the last few weeks, when I've made an entry into Yahoo, even something simple that I've linked in the past, I'm redirected to another search with a little continue box on a blank page. I've never really liked google that much but now I'm using it because this doesnt happen.

This could have something to do with the new Search Assistant that Yahoo has implemented to try and make searching for topics a lot easier.

I would recommend checking with a Yahoo customer service representative as well in case this could be a technical issue causing the page to not set up correctly.
